What's New

It seems like it has been forever since I have been on here. It has been quite awhile, yet not quite forever. So much can change in our lives in a blink of an eye. When I last updated, we were living in our home of 13 years; now we are in our new home of about 5 months. God is so good. When my world seemed to be completely falling apart, God kept it all in His plan and has used EVERY detail to honor Him. Isn't that what our lives were created for anyway? I am the world's worst to forget that. I get so caught up in the everyday life, that I forget what that I was created to worship Jesus. I don't completely forget it, of course, but it doesn't stay as close to the top of my agenda as it belongs. He should ALWAYS be #1... of course. Yet, when financial issues, medical issues, work issues, school issues, living issues.... all seem to pile up... my thoughts begin to be made up of those things and less of His thoughts. It is a mental re~focus moment. :)

Doug became sick in body last year, and our lives will never be the same. God has a plan and we are desperately trying to follow His plan. BEFORE he got sick, I was at home with our three children and he was working at American Machine in Abbeville as a welder. Last year was like a full year of climbing mountains. I prayed, many times... Lord, don't move that mountain, just give me strength to climb. HE DID! NOW... everything is so different. We were in the process of losing our home, by forecloser... yet the day before the auction God sold it! THE DAY BEFORE! God blessed us with some of the most awesome friends to help us through all of this. Old friends, and new friends, and friends I have never even met! Seriously! Only God can do that! I began working again last Sept. and I started out taking classes to become a tax pro with H&R Block. Then I was hired by KB Toys, Waldenbooks, and the Salvation Army as a bell ringer. I met many new people and God blessed our family in many new ways. Why is it so hard to remain focused on my God when he remains focused on my needs with constant love. He is so good to me. I am now working with H&R Block in Abbeville, and I am enrolled at Wallace College in the RN Program. I will begin classes on June 2nd, and although I don't know where I will work after Apr 15th... I am in His hands and I trust Him. Until next time... be blessed!
